Uses of Cali Terpenes:

The cannabis aromas (terpene profiles) of Cali Terpenes are used for many different applications, but in the cannabis and vaping sector, they're mainly used to add aroma and flavor of specific marijuana strains to products such as:

• Vaping liquids (e-liquids).

• Cannabis extractions and concentrates (rosin, BHO, traditional hash, THC or CBD Destillats for "vape cartridges" …)

• Hemp flowers or cannabis (buds).

Recommendations for using Cali Terpenes:

Cali Terpenes are 100% pure, with no diluents or additives. They should be handled with care and must not be consumed undiluted (except for tastings using Cali Terpenes borosilicate vaporizers or pipettes).

1ml of terpenes = 40 drops (0.025ml per drop from the 1ml dropper). 1 drop of terpenes represents approximately 0.25% in 10ml of base:

1 drop in 10ml = 0,25%

2 drops in 10 ml = 0,50%

4 drops in 10ml = 1%

8 drops in 10ml = 2%

12 drops in 10ml = 3%

*We always recommend performing tests from smaller to larger quantities on the same base, as Cali Terpenes can easily provide intense flavor and aroma due to their 100% purity.

Bases for vaporizing liquids (e-liquids):

• The recommended terpene ratio to provide sufficient flavor to e-liquid bases is between 1 and 3% terpenes (up to 4% can be used, with 2% being the most common).

• For example, suppose you want to flavor 10ml of e-liquid base, adding 2% terpenes. To do this, you'll only need to add 0.2ml of terpenes.

• Following the same ratio, if you have 100ml of e-liquid base, you'd add 2ml of terpenes.

Cannabis extractions and concentrates:

• The recommended Cali Terpenes ratio to provide sufficient flavor and aroma to dry extractions (traditional hash or hash, dry…), as well as BHO (shatter, live resin, wax…), rosin, THC or CBD distillates,... is between 1 and 3% terpenes (up to a maximum of 4%, with 2 to 3% being the most common).

• For example, suppose you have 10gr of cannabis concentrate, for instance, a distillate (commonly known as clear), and you want to add 3% terpenes. To do this, you'd only need to add 0.3ml of our terpenes.

• It's very helpful to perform tests with smaller to larger quantities, for example: 1 drop for 3gr, 1 drop for 2gr, 1 drop for 1gr… perform a tasting after a few days to appreciate the result of the different proportions used. This way, you'll know the ideal proportion before mixing it with all the material.

• It's crucial to make a good mixture to ensure a uniform result, and allow a resting/maceration time of at least 24/48h. In this way, the terpenes will fully integrate.

Hemp or cannabis flowers:

Terpenes can also be used to flavor buds, whether hemp or cannabis. It's not recommended to add more than 4% terpenes, and in some cases, the percentage of aroma to apply should be less, as the flowers may contain some of their own terpenes. Excess terpenes would result in an aroma that's too intense and possibly unpleasant.

The ideal method to apply terpenes to buds, flowers, and dry herbs is Terps Spray.

If you have small amounts of buds, you can use these liquid terpenes in a cosmetic sprayer or similar to perform a function similar (though not as professional) to Terps Spray. It's also possible to use a blotting paper with terpenes in the same container, but they are usually more integrated when sprayed, in the case of buds.

Storage of Terpenes:

The containers of Cali Terpenes are ideal for a perfect storage of terpenes, equipped with a safety stopper, leak-proof disc and screw cap.

1. Each time you finish using the product, replace all these elements to prevent possible evaporations or contaminations.
2. Terpenes are volatile elements, so we always recomend storing them cold in the fridge (around 7ºC), to prevent possible evaporations while working with them.
3. The operating temperature with terpenes should not exceed 60ºC, thus preventing the evaporation of the most volatile terpenes.
4. Always store the terpenes in their original container, as the material used (non-UV translucent glass) is perfect for the storage of thermo or photosensitive products. Thus you'll avoid possible color changes, losses, or cross-contaminations (terpenes can act as dilutants and corrode leftovers of materials as in the case of some plastics).
