Usage of Cali Terpenes:

The cannabis aromas (terpene profiles) from Cali Terpenes are used for numerous distinct applications. However, in the cannabis and vaping industry, they are primarily used to add the aroma and flavor of specific cannabis strains to products such as:

• Vaping juices (e-liquids).

• Cannabis extractions and concentrates (rosin, BHO, traditional hash, THC or CBD distillates for the preparation of "vape cartridges").

• Hemp flowers or cannabis (buds).

Recommended Usage of Cali Terpenes:

The Cali Terpenes are 100% pure, without any diluents or additives. It's important to handle them with caution and they should not be consumed undiluted(apart for tasting in Cali Terpenes pipettes or borosilicate vaporizers).

1ml of terpenes = 40 drops (0.025ml per drop from the 1ml dropper). One drop of terpenes represents approximately 0.25% in a 10ml base:

1 drop in 10ml = 0.25%

2 drops in 10 ml = 0.50%

8 drops in 10ml = 2%

Vaping Liquids (e-liquids):

• The recommended terpene proportion to add sufficient flavor to e-liquid bases is between 1 and 3% of terpenes (you can use up to 4%, although 2% is usual)

• For instance, let's suppose you wish to flavor 10ml of e-liquid base, adding 2% of terpenes. To do that, you only need to add 0.2ml of terpenes.

• Following the same proportion, if you have 100ml of e-liquid base, you should add 2ml of terpenes.

Cannabis Extracts and Concentrates:

• The recommended proportion of Cali Terpenes to add enough flavor and aroma to dry extractions (traditional hashish, dry…), as well as BHO (shatter, live resin, waxrosin, THC or CBD distillates,... is between 1 and 3% of terpenes (you can use up to a maximum of 4% and 2 to 3% are the most common).

• For example, let's suppose you have 10gr of cannabis concentrate, say a distillate (commonly known as clear), and you want to add 3% of terpenes. In this case, all you'll need to add is 0.3ml of our terpenes.

• It's very useful to make tests from smaller to larger amounts, for example: 1 drop for 3g, 1 drop for 2g, 1 drop for 1g… perform a tasting after a few days to appreciate the result of the different proportions used, this way you'll ascertain the ideal proportion before mixing it with all the material.

• It's vital to make a thorough mix so that the result is homogeneous, in addition to allowing a resting/maceration period of at least 24/48h, thus the terpenes will be fully integrated.

Terpenes can also be used to flavor buds, both hemp, and cannabis. It's not advised to add more than 4% of terpenes and in some cases, the percentage of aroma to be applied may be lower as the flowers might contain some of their own terpenes. An excess of terpenes would result in an overly intense and possibly unpleasant aroma.

The ideal method for applying terpenes to buds, flowers, and dry herbs is Terps Spray.

If you have small quantities of buds, you could use these liquid terpenes in a cosmetic sprayer or similar to perform a function similar (though not as professional) to Terps Spray. It's also possible to use a blotting paper with terpenes in the same container, but they usually integrate better when sprayed in the case of buds.

Conservation of Terpenes:

The containers for Cali Terpenes are ideal for perfect terpene conservation, as they are equipped with a safety stopper, anti-leak disk, and a screw-close cap.

1. Each time you finish using the product, put all these elements back in place to avoid possible evaporation or contamination.
2. Terpenes are volatile elements, that's why we always recommend keeping them cold in the fridge (about 7ºC), to prevent possible evaporation while working with them.
3. The working temperature with terpenes should not exceed 60ºC, this way you'll avoid the evaporation of the most volatile terpenes.
4. Always keep terpenes in their original container, as the material used (dark glass that doesn't let UV through) is perfect for preserving thermo or photosensitive products. This way, you'll avoid possible color changes, losses or cross-contaminations (terpenes can act as diluents and corrode residues of materials such as some plastics).
