The cannabis aromas (terpene profiles) of Cali Terpenes are used for many different applications, but in the cannabis and vaping industry, they're mainly used to add aroma and flavor of specific cannabis strains to products such as:

• Vaping liquids (e-liquids).

• Cannabis Extractions and Concentrates (rosin, BHO, traditional hash, THC or CBD distillates for making "vape cartridges").

• Hemp flower or cannabis (buds).

Usage Recommendations of Cali Terpenes:

Cali Terpenes are 100% pure, without dilution or additives. They should be handled with caution and should not be consumed undiluted (except when tasting from the Cali Terpenes borosilicate vaporizers).

1ml of terpenes = 40 drops (0.025ml per drop from the 1ml dropper). One drop of terpenes represents approximately 0.25% in 10ml of base:

1 drop in 10ml = 0.25%

2 drops in 10ml = 0.50%

4 drops in 10ml = 1%

8 drops in 10ml = 2%

12 drops in 10ml = 3%

*We always recommend conducting small to large amount tests on the same base, as Cali Terpenes provide an intense flavor and aroma quite easily, due to their 100% purity.

Vaping liquid bases (e-liquids):

• The recommended terpene ratio for providing sufficient flavor to e-liquid bases is between 1 to 3% of terpenes (with up to a maximum of 4% and 2% as the most common).

• For example, let's say you want to add flavor to 10ml of e-liquid base, adding 2% of terpenes. For this, you only need to add 0.2ml of terpenes.

• Following the same ratio, if you have 100ml of e-liquid base, you should add 2ml of terpenes.

Cannabis extracts and concentrates:

• The recommended ratio of Cali Terpenes for providing sufficient flavor and aroma to dry extractions (traditional hash, dry...), as well as BHO (shatter, live resin, wax,...), rosin, THC or CBD distillates,… is between 1 to 3% of terpenes (with up to a maximum of 4% and 2 to 3% as most common).

• To illustrate, let's say you have 10g of cannabis concentrate, for instance, a distillate (commonly known as clear) and you want to add 3% of terpenes. For this, you only need to add 0.3ml of our terpenes.

• It's highly useful to conduct small to large quantity tests, for example: 1 drop for 3g, 1 drop for 2g, 1 drop for 1g… performing a taste test after a few days to appreciate the result of the different ratios used, so this way you'll know the ideal ratio before mixing it with all the material.

• Ensuring proper mixing is crucial for a uniform result, in addition to allowing a resting/maceration period of at least 24/48h, this way the terpenes will fully integrate.

Hemp or cannabis flowers:

Terpenes can also be used to aromatize buds, whether they are from hemp or cannabis. It's not recommended to add more than 4% of terpenes, and in some cases, the quantity of aroma to apply may be even less because the flowers may have some of their terpenes. An excess of terpenes would result in an overly intense and possibly unpleasant aroma.

The ideal method for applying terpenes to buds, flowers, and dry herbs is Terps Spray.

If you have small quantities of buds, you can use these liquid terpenes in a cosmetic sprayer or similar to perform a function similar (but not professional-grade) to Terps Spray. It is also possible to use a blotter paper with terpenes in the same container, but they usually more fully integrate when sprayed, in the case of the buds.

Conservation of Terpenes:

The containers of the Cali Terpenes are ideal for perfectly preserving the terpenes, as they're equipped with a safety stopper, an anti-leak disc, and a screw-on cap.

1. Every time you finish using the product, replace all of these elements to avoid potential evaporation or contamination.
2. Terpenes are volatile elements, so we always recommend preserving them in the refrigerator (around 7ºC), to prevent potential evaporation while you're working with them.
3. The working temperature with the terpenes should not exceed 60ºC, therefore preventing the evaporation of the most volatile terpenes.
4. Always keep the terpenes in their original packaging, as the material used (dark glass that does not allow UV light) is ideal for preserving thermo or photosensitive products. By doing so, you'll avoid possible color changes, losses, or cross-contaminations as terpenes can act as solvents and may corrode residues of materials like some plastics.
