Cali Terpenes Usage Recommendations:

The Cali Terpenes are 100% pure, undiluted and without any added substances. They must be handled with care and should not be consumed undiluted (except for tastings in Cali Terpenes' borosilicate pipettes or vaporizers).

1ml of terpenes = 40 drops (0.025ml per drop from 1ml dropper). 1 terpene drop represents approximately 0.25% in 10ml:

1 drop in 10ml = 0.25%

2 drops in 10 ml = 0.50%

4 drops in 10ml = 1%

8 drops in 10ml = 2%

12 drops in 10ml = 3%

We always recommend to conduct tests starting from less to more quantity on the same base because Cali Terpenes easily provide an intense flavor and aroma due to their 100% purity.

Vaping liquids (e-liquids):

• The recommended terpene ratio to provide sufficient flavor to e-liquid bases ranges between 1% and 3% of terpenes (up to a maximum of 4% can be used, 2% being the most common)

• For example, suppose you want to flavor 10ml of e-liquid base by adding 2% of terpenes. For this, you only need to add 0.2ml of terpenes.

• Following the same ratio, if you have 100ml of e-liquid base, you should add 2ml of terpenes.

Cannabis extractions and concentrates:

• The recommended ratio of Cali Terpenes for providing sufficient flavor and aroma to dry extractions (traditional hash or dry hashish), BHO (shatter, live resin, wax…), rosin, THC or CBD distillates,... ranges between 1% and 3% of terpenes (up to 4% maximum can be used, 2 to 3% being the most common).

• For example, suppose you have 10gr of cannabis concentrate, like a distillate (commonly known as clear), and you want to add 3% of terpenes. For this, you only need to add 0.3ml of our terpenes.

• It's very helpful to conduct tests from lesser to greater amounts, for example: 1 drop for 3gr, 1 drop for 2gr, 1 drop for 1gr… conduct a tasting after a few days to appreciate the result of the different ratios used, this way you'll know the ideal ratio before mixing everything.

• It's crucial to mix everything well for a homogeneous outcome, and allow resting/maceration for at least 24/48h, this way the terpenes will integrate fully.

Hemp or cannabis flowers:

Terpenes can also be used to flavor hemp or cannabis buds. It is not recommended to add more than 4% of terpenes as these flowers may contain some inherent terpenes. An excess of terpenes would result in an overly strong, possibly unpleasant aroma.

The ideal method for applying terpenes to buds, flowers, and dry herbs is Terps Spray.

For small quantities of buds, you can use these liquid terpenes in a cosmetic sprayer or similar to achieve a similar (though less professional) function to Terps Spray. It's also possible to use terpene-saturated blotting paper in the same container, but they are more integrated when sprayed, in the case of the buds.

Terpenes Preservation:

The Cali Terpenes' packaging is perfect for the ideal preservation of the terpenes, as it comes with a safety seal, anti-leak disc, and screwable cap.

1. After each use of the product, replace all these components to prevent evaporation or contamination.
2. Terpenes are volatile components, that's why we always recommend keeping them cold in the refrigerator (about 7°C), to prevent evaporation while working with them.
3. The temperature when working with terpenes should not exceed 60°C, in order to prevent the evaporation of the more volatile terpenes.
4. Always keep the terpenes in their original packaging, as the material used (dark glass which blocks UV light) is ideal for preserving thermosensitive or photosensitive products. By doing this you'll avoid potential color changes, losses, or cross-contamination (terpenes can act as diluters and corrode residue materials like some plastics).
