Uses of Cali Terpenes:

The cannabis aromas (terpene profiles) from Cali Terpenes are used for many unique applications, but in the cannabis and vaping industry, they're typically used to add aroma and flavour of unique cannabis strains to products such as:

• Vaping liquids (e-liquids).

• Cannabis extractions and concentrates (rosin, BHO, traditional hash, THC or CBD distillates for "vape cartridges" …)

• Hemp flowers or cannabis (ie. buds).

Recommended Use of Cali Terpenes:

Cali Terpenes are 100% pure, without dilutions or additives. You should handle them with care, and they must not be consumed undiluted (except for tasting in Cali Terpenes pipettes or borosilicate vaporizers).

1ml of terpenes = 40 drops (0.025ml per 1ml dropper drop). One drop of terpene represents approximately 0.25% in 10ml of base:

1 drop in 10ml = 0.25%

2 drops in 10ml = 0.50%

4 drops in 10ml = 1%

8 drops in 10ml = 2%

12 drops in 10ml = 3%

Vaporisation Liquid Bases (e-liquids):

• The recommended terpene ratio for adding enough flavour to e-liquid bases is between 1 and 3% of terpenes (up to a maximum of 4%, with 2% being the most common)

• For example, suppose you want to flavour 10ml of e-liquid base, providing 2% of terpenes. To do this, just add 0.2ml of terpenes.

• Following the same proportion, if you had 100ml of e-liquid base, you would add 2ml of terpenes.

Cannabis Extracts and Concentrates:

• The recommended Cali Terpenes ratio for giving sufficient flavour and aroma to dry extracts (traditional hashish, dry…), as well as BHO (shatter, live resin, wax…), rosin, THC or CBD distillates... is between 1 and 3% of terpenes (up to a maximum of 4%, with 2 to 3% being the most common).

• For instance, suppose you have 10g of a cannabis concentrate, such as a distillate (commonly known as clear), and want to add 3% of terpenes. You only need to add 0.3ml of our terpenes.

• It's very advantageous to test smaller to larger amounts, for example: 1 drop for 3g, 1 drop for 2g, 1 drop for 1g… Wait a few days to appreciate the outcome of the different proportions used. This way, you'll identify the ideal ratio before mixing it with all the material.

• It is essential to ensure a good blend for a homogeneous result, and leave a resting/maceration time of at least 24/48h, so the terpenes are fully integrated.

Hemp or Cannabis Flowers:

Terpenes can also be used to flavour buds, whether hemp or cannabis. It's not recommended to add more than 4% of terpenes, and in some cases, the aroma percentage to apply may have to be lower because flowers may already contain some inherent terpenes. An excess of terpenes would create an overly intense and possibly unpleasant aroma.

The ideal method to apply terpenes to buds, flowers, and dry herbs is through Terps Spray.

If you have small quantities of buds, you can use this liquid terpene in a cosmetic sprayer or similar to serve a similar (though less professional) function to Terps Spray. Also, you could use terpene-soaked blotting paper in the same container, but they usually blend better when sprayed, in the case of buds.

Terpene Conservation:

The containers for Cali Terpenes are ideal for perfect terpene conservation as they're equipped with a safety closure, anti-leak disc and threaded closure cap.

1. Each time you're done using the product, replace all these elements to prevent potential evaporations or contaminations.
2. Terpenes are volatile elements, hence, we always recommend conserving them in a cool place, such as the refrigerator (approximately 7ºC), to prevent potential need vaporation while working with them.
3. The working temperature with terpenes shouldn't exceed 60ºC to avoid the evaporation of the more volatile terpenes.
4. Always keep the terpenes in their original container as the material used (opaque glass that doesn't allow UV passage) is perfect for preserving thermo or photosensitive products. This way, you'll avoid potential changes in colour, losses or cross-contaminations (terpenes can act as solvents and wear away residues of materials such as some plastics).
