Uses of Cali Terpenes’ Terpenes:

Cannabis fragrances (terpene profiles) from Cali Terpenes are applied in a variety of different applications, but in the cannabis and vaping sector, they're typically used to add the aroma and taste of specific cannabis strains to products like:

  • Vaping liquids (e-liquids).
  • Cannabis extractions and concentrates (rosin, BHO, traditional hash, THC or CBD distillates for "vape cartridges" preparation…)
  • Hemp/cannabis flowers (buds).

Usage Recommendations for Cali Terpenes’ Terpenes:

Cali Terpenes’ terpenes are 100% pure, without diluents or additions. You should handle them carefully and they shouldn't be consumed undiluted (except during tastings in Cali Terpenes’ borosilicate pipettes or vaporizers).

1ml of terpenes = 40 drops (0.025ml per drop from the 1ml dropper). 1 drop of terpenes represents approximately 0.25% in 10ml of the base:

1 drop in 10ml = 0,25%

2 drops in 10 ml = 0,50%

4 drops in 10ml = 1%

8 drops in 10ml = 2%

12 drops in 10ml = 3%

We always recommend performing tests from smaller to larger amounts within the same base, as Cali Terpenes’ terpenes deliver a potent taste and aroma easily, given their 100% purity.

Vaping Liquid Bases (e-liquids):

  • The recommended proportion of terpenes to provide enough flavor to e-liquid bases is between 1% and 3% terpenes (with the potential to use up to 4%, and 2% being the most common).
  • For instance, suppose you want to flavor 10ml of e-liquid base, with a 2% of terpenes. For that, you will only need to add 0.2ml of terpenes.
  • Following the same ratio, if you had 100ml of e-liquid base, you should add 2ml of terpenes.

Cannabis Extracts and Concentrates:

  • The suggested amount of Cali Terpenes’ terpenes to supply adequate flavor and aroma to dry extractions (traditional hash, dry…), as well as BHO (shatter, live resin, wax…), rosin, THC or CBD distillates,... is between 1% and 3% terpenes (with the potential to use up to a maximum of 4%, and 2% to 3% being most common).
  • For example, suppose you have 10gr of cannabis concentrate, say a distillate (commonly known as clear), and you want to add 3% of terpenes. For that, you only need to add 0.3ml of our terpenes.
  • It's very helpful to test from smaller to larger quantities, for example: 1 drop for 3gr, 1 drop for 2gr, 1 drop for 1gr… carry out a tasting after a few days to determine the results of the different proportions used. This way, you'll know the ideal proportion before mixing it with all the material.
  • It's very important to mix thoroughly to ensure a consistent result, plus take a rest / maceration period of at least 24/48h, so the terpenes are fully integrated.

Hemp or Cannabis Flowers:

Terpenes can also be used to flavor buds, of hemp or cannabis. Adding more than a 4% of terpenes is not recommended, and in some cases, the percentage of flavor to apply might need to be less, because the flowers might contain some terpenes of their own. An excess of terpenes would result in too intense an aroma and possibly unpleasant.

The ideal method to apply terpenes to buds, flowers, and dry herbs is Terps Spray.

If working with small quantities of buds, these liquid terpenes can be used in a cosmetic sprayer or something similar to perform a similar (but not as professional) function as Terps Spray. It's also possible to utilize a blot paper with terpenes in the same container, but they typically get more integrated when sprayed, in the case of buds.

Terpenes Storage:

Cali Terpenes’ terpene packages are ideal for a perfect terpenes storage, as they are fitted with a safety stopper, no-leak disc and screw-top cap.

  1. Each time you're done using the product, replace all these elements to avoid potential evaporation or contaminations.
  2. Terpenes are volatile elements, hence, we always recommend storing them in the cold in the fridge (approximately 7ºC), to prevent potential evaporations while you're working with them.
  3. The temperature for working with terpenes shouldn't exceed 60ºC, this way you'll avoid evaporation of the most volatile terpenes.
  4. Always keep terpenes in their original container, as the material used (dark glass that doesn't allow UV penetration) is perfect for the preservation of thermo or photosensitive products. This way, you'll prevent potential color changes, losses, or cross-contaminations (terpenes can act as solvents and corrode remnants of materials such as in the case of certain plastics).

Certificates of Cali Terpenes’ Terpenes:

  • Cali Terpenes S.L. is registered as an exporting company in the FDA (Food and Drug Association).
  • Their products comply with European vaping regulations.

Awards:

  • Award for best post-cultivation product at Spannabis 2019
