Recommendations for Cali Terpenes' terpene use:

Cali Terpenes' terpenes are 100% pure without dilutions or additives. You should handle them cautiously and they should never be consumed without dilution (except for tastings from borosilicate pipettes or vapes from Cali Terpenes).

1ml of terpenes = 40 drops (0.025ml per drop with a 1ml dropper). One drop of terpenes corresponds to roughly 0.25% in 10ml base:

1 drop in 10ml = 0,25%

2 drops in 10 ml = 0,50%

Bases for vaping liquids (e-liquids):

• The recommended terpene ratio to add sufficient flavor to e-liquid bases lies between 1 and 3% of terpenes (up to 4% could also be used, but the most common amount is 2%)

• As an example, let's say you want to add flavor to 10ml of an e-liquid base, supplying 2% of terpenes. For this, you'll only need to add 0.2ml of terpenes.

• Following the same ratio, if you had 100ml of an e-liquid base, you'd need to add 2ml of terpenes.

Cannabis extractions and concentrates:

• The recommended ratio of Cali Terpenes' terpenes needed to provide enough flavor and aroma to dry extractions (traditional hash or hash, dry…), let alone BHO (shatter, live resin, wax, etc.), rosin, THC or CBD distillates,... is between 1 and 3% of terpenes (you can use up to a maximum of 4%, with the most common ratios being between 2 and 3%)

• As an example, suppose you have 10gr of a cannabis concentrate, for instance, a distillate (commonly known as clear) and you'd like to add 3% terpenes. In this case, you'd just need to add 0.3ml of our terpenes

• It's very useful to perform tests from smaller to larger amounts. For instance, 1 drop for 3gr, 1 drop for 2gr, 1 drop for 1gr… perform a tasting after a few days to appreciate the result of the various ratios used. Doing so will allow you to know the ideal proportions before mixing it with the entire product.

• It's very important to create a uniform mix and allow a resting/maceration period of at least 24/48h. This way, the terpenes will become fully integrated.

Hemp or cannabis flowers:

Terpenes can also be used to flavor buds, whether hemp or cannabis. Do not apply more than 4% of terpenes as the flowers may contain some of their own terpenes. Too many terpenes would result in too intense an aroma and possibly unpleasant sensation.

The ideal method to apply terpenes to buds, flowers, and dry herbs is Terps Spray.

When dealing with small quantities of buds, you can use these liquid terpenes in a cosmetic spray or similar to perform a similar (though not as professional) function to that of the Terps Spray. It's also possible to use a terpene-infused blotting paper in the same container, but usually, the terpenes integrate better when they are sprayed in the case of buds.

Terpene storage:

The Cali Terpenes' terpene containers are perfect for terpene storage as they are equipped with a safety stopper, leak prevention disc, and screw cap.

1. Always replace these elements after you have finished using the product to avoid potential evaporation or contamination.
2. Terpenes are volatile elements, hence we always recommend refrigerating them (at around 7ºC) to prevent potential evaporation while you're working with them.
3. The working temperature with terpenes should not exceed 60ºC, this way you'd prevent evaporation of the more volatile terpenes.
4. Always keep terpenes in their original container, considering that the material used (dark glass blocks UV radiation) is perfect for preserving thermo- or photo-sensitive products. This will help to avoid color changes, losses, or cross-contamination (terpenes can act as solvents and corrode residues from certain materials, such as some types of plastic).
