Recommended Usage of Cali Terpenes:

The Cali Terpenes' terpenes are 100% pure, without diluents or additives. They should be handled with caution and should not be consumed undiluted (except for tasting in pipettes or Cali Terpenes' borosilicate vaporisers).

1ml of terpenes = 40 drops (0.025ml per drop from a 1ml dropper). 1 drop of terpenes represents approximately 0.25% in 10ml of base:

1 drop in 10ml = 0.25%

2 drops in 10 ml = 0.50%

4 drops in 10ml = 1%

8 drops in 10ml = 2%

• The recommended proportion of terpenes to provide sufficient flavour to e-liquid bases is between 1 and 3% of terpenes (can go up to 4%, commonly 2% is used)

• For example, if you want to add flavour to 10ml of e-liquid base with a 2% solution of terpenes, you need to add only 0.2ml of terpenes.

• Following the same proportion, if you have 100ml of e-liquid base, you should add 2ml of terpenes.

Cannabis extractions and concentrates:

• The recommended proportion of Cali Terpenes to provide enough flavour and aroma to dry extractions (like hashish, dry…), including BHO (shatter, live resin, wax…), rosin, THC or CBD distillates, is between 1 to 3% of terpenes (it can go up to 4%, but commonly between 2 and 3% is used).

• For instance, if you have 10gr of cannabis concentrate (like clear) and you want to add a 3% solution of terpenes, you should add only 0.3ml of our terpenes.

• It's very useful to start with smaller quantities and gradually increase. For example: 1 drop for 3gr, 1 drop for 2gr, 1 drop for 1gr… After several days taste-test the results obtained with different proportions. This method will help you determine the ideal proportion before combining with the entire batch.

• It's important to achieve a good mix for a homogeneous result, not forgetting to allow at least 24/48 hours for setting. This will ensure the terpenes fully integrate.

Terpenes can also be used to aromatize buds, either hemp or cannabis. It's not recommended to add more than a 4% solution of terpenes. In some cases, this proportion may need to be lower as the buds may already contain some terpenes. Too many terpenes could result in an overly intense and potentially unpleasant aroma.

The ideal method to apply terpenes to flowers, dry herbs is by using the Terps Spray.

If you only have a small quantity of buds, you can use a cosmetic sprayer with these liquid terpenes to achieve a somewhat similar result (though less professional) as the Terps Spray. Alternatively, you could use paper doused with terpenes in the same container, but the terpenes typically integrate better when sprayed, especially with buds.

Preservation of the Terpenes:

The Cali Terpenes' terpene containers are suitable for optimal preservation of terpenes, as they come equipped with a safety stopper, anti-leak disk and threaded lid.

1. Replace all of these elements each time the product is used to avoid possible evaporation or contamination.
2. As terpenes are volatile, it is recommended to always keep them refrigerated (approximately at 7ºC), to prevent potential evaporation while you're working with them.
3. The working temperature with terpenes shouldn't exceed 60ºC, so the most volatile terpenes do not evaporate.
4. Always keep the terpenes in their original container, as the materials used (dark glass that blocks out UV rays) is perfect for preserving heat or light sensitive products. This way, you'll avoid potential colour changes, losses or cross contaminations (terpenes can act as diluents and corrode residues materials similar to some types of plastic).
