The cannabis terpene profile known as Truth from Cali Terpenes combines botanically sourced terpenes with the aromatic profile inherited from the terpene extraction of the exotic cannabis strain The Truth (San Fernando Valley OG x Triangle Kush x Chemdog D).

Cali Terpenes are of 100% organic (plant-based) origin.

The cannabis-derived aromas (terpene profiles) from Cali Terpenes are used in many different applications. In the cannabis and vaping sector, they are primarily used to infuse specific cannabis strain aroma and flavor into products such as:

  • Vaporising liquids (e-liquids).
  • Cannabis extracts and concentrates (rosin, BHO, traditional hash, THC or CBD distillates for "vape cartridge" production, etc.)
  • Hemp flowers or cannabis (buds).

Cali Terpenes Use Recommendations:

Cali Terpenes are 100% pure, without dilutions or additives. Always handle them carefully and never consume them undiluted, except for sampling using Cali Terpenes' borosilicate vaporizers or pipettes.

1ml of terpenes = 40 drops (0.025ml per 1ml dropper). 1 drop of terpenes represents approximately 0.25% in 10ml of base:

1 drop in 10ml = 0.25%

2 drops in 10 ml = 0.50%

4 drops in 10ml = 1%

8 drops in 10ml = 2%

12 drops in 10ml = 3%

We always recommend conducting tests from lower to higher quantities on the same base, as Cali Terpenes terpenes easily imbue an intense flavor and aroma due to their 100% purity.

Vaporisation Liquid Bases (e-liquids):

  • The recommended terpene ratio for providing sufficient flavor to an e-liquid base is between 1 and 3% of terpenes (up to 4% can be used, with 2% being the most common percentage).
  • For example, to infuse 10ml of e-liquid base with a 2% concentration of terpenes, simply add 0.2ml of terpenes.
  • Using the same ratio, if you have 100ml of e-liquid base, you would need to add 2ml of terpenes.

Cannabis Extracts and Concentrates:

  • The recommended Cali Terpenes ratio for providing sufficient flavor and aroma to dry extractions (traditional hash, dry, etc.), as well as BHO (shatter, live resin, wax, etc.), rosin, THC or CBD distillates, etc., is between 1 and 3% of terpenes (up to a maximum of 4%, with 2-3% being the most common percentages).
  • For instance, say you have 10gr of cannabis concentrate, such as a distillate (commonly known as clear), and you wish to add a 3% concentration of terpenes. To do this, add just 0.3ml of our terpenes.
  • It is very useful to do tests from lower to higher quantities. Start by adding 1 drop per 3gr, 1 drop per 2gr, 1 drop per 1gr. Then, taste the result after a few days to evaluate the different ratios used. This way, you'll know the ideal ratio before mixing it with all the material.
  • It's crucial to mix thoroughly, ensuring the result is evenly distributed, then leave it to rest/macerate for at least 24-48 hours, allowing the terpenes to fully integrate.

Hemp or Cannabis Flowers:

Terpenes can also be used to flavor buds, both of hemp or cannabis. No more than 4% of terpenes should be added. In some cases, the percentage may need to be lower, as flowers may already contain some intrinsic terpenes. Please avoid overuse of terpenes, as excessive use can result in an overly strong and possibly disagreeable aroma.

The ideal method to apply terpenes to buds, flowers, and dry herbs is Terps Spray.

For smaller quantities of buds, you can use these liquid terpenes in a regular cosmetic sprayer. Alternatively, you could use a piece of terpene-steeped blotting paper in the same container, but usually, they integrate better when sprayed onto the buds.

Preserving the Terpenes:

The containers that Cali Terpenes come in perfect for an optimal preservation of the terpenes, thanks to a safety cap, leak-proof disk, and screw-on lid.

  1. Always put back all of these components after using the product to avoid potential evaporation or contamination.
  2. As terpenes are volatile compounds, always store them in the refrigerator (around 7℃), to prevent evaporation while you're working with them.
  3. The working temperature for terpenes should not exceed 60℃, to prevent the more volatile terpenes from evaporating.
  4. Always keep the terpenes in their original container. Its dark glass material blocks UV penetration and maintains ideal conditions for preserving sensitive products. This way, you'll avoid changes in color, losses, or cross-contamination (terpenes can act as solvents and corrode materials, including some types of plastic).
