The cannabis flavors (terpene profiles) by Cali Terpenes are utilized for a plethora of different applications, but predominantly in the cannabis and vaping industries; essentially being used to add aroma and taste of specific cannabis strains to products such as:

• Vaping liquids (e-liquids).

• Cannabis extractions and concentrates (rosin, BHO, traditional hash, THC or CBD distillates for the production of "vape cartridges" …)

• Hemp flowers or cannabis (buds).

Usage Recommendations for Cali Terpenes:

The Cali Terpenes are 100% pure, without any diluents or additives. One must handle them with caution and they must not be consumed without dilution (except for tastings with the Cali Terpenes borosilicate pipettes or vaporizers).

1ml of terpenes = 40 drops (0.025ml per drop from the 1ml dropper). Each drop of terpenes constitutes approximately 0.25% in 10ml of base:

1 drop in 10ml = 0.25%

2 drops in 10 ml = 0.50%

4 drops in 10ml = 1%

8 drops in 10ml = 2%

12 drops in 10ml = 3%

Vaping Liquids (e-liquids):

• The recommended terpene ratio for providing sufficient taste to e-liquid bases is between 1 and 3% terpenes (up to 4% can be used, with 2% being the most common).

• For example, let's assume that you wish to flavor 10ml of e-liquid base, contributing 2% terpenes. In this case, you should only add 0.2ml of terpenes.

• Following the same ratio, if you had 100ml of e-liquid base you'd need to add 2ml of terpenes.

Cannabis Extractions and Concentrates:

• The recommended ratio of Cali Terpenes to provide sufficient flavor and aroma to dry extractions (traditional hashish or hash, dry…), as well as BHO (shatter, live resin, wax…), rosin, THC or CBD distillates,... is between 1 and 3% terpenes (up to a maximum of 4%, with 2 to 3% being the most common).

• As an example, let's assume that you have 10gr of cannabis concentrate, for example a distillate (commonly known as clear), and you want to add 3% of terpenes. For this, you would only need to add 0.3ml of our terpenes.

• It's useful to do tests with smaller to larger quantities, for example: 1 drop for 3gr, 1 drop for 2gr, 1 drop for 1gr… carry out a tasting after a few days to appreciate the result of the different proportions used, as this way you'll know the ideal ratio before mixing it with all the material.

• It's important to blend well to ensure that the result is homogeneous, and allow a rest/maceration period of at least 24/48h. This will allow the terpenes to be completely integrated.

Hemp or Cannabis Flowers:

Terpenes can also be used to flavor buds of hemp or cannabis. It's not recommended to add more than 4% of terpenes and in some cases, the percentage of flavor to be applied may have to be less since the flowers may contain some of their own terpenes. Excess terpenes could result in an overly intense and possibly unpleasant aroma.

The ideal method to apply terpenes to buds, flowers, and dried herbs is Terps Spray.

If you have small quantities of buds, you can use these liquid terpenes in a cosmetic sprayer or similar to play a similar (if not so professional) role to Terps Spray. It's also possible to use a blotting paper with terpenes in the same container, but they usually blend better when sprayed, in the case of buds.

Terpenes Storage:

The containers for Cali Terpenes are ideal for a perfect storage of terpenes, as they come with a safety stopper, leakage-protection disk, and screw-on cap.

1. Replace all these components each time you're done using the product to prevent potential evaporations or contaminations.
2. Terpenes are volatile elements; therefore, we always recommend storing them in a cool place, preferably in the refrigerator (around 7ºC), to prevent potential evaporations while working with them.
3. The working temperature with terpenes should not exceed 60ºC, so you avoid the evaporation of the most volatile terpenes.
4. Always keep the terpenes in their original container, as the material used (dark glass preventing the passage of UV) is perfect for the storage of thermo or photosensitive products. This prevents potential color changes, losses, or cross-contaminations (terpenes can act as diluents and corrode remains of materials such as certain plastics).
